Trinity Horseshoes are the culmination of more than forty years of hands-on discovery and careful observation. Engineered at the Institute of Applied Equine Podiatry, they are the brainchild of Applied Equine Podiatrist K.C. La Pierre, MAEP, RJF, CF.
After more than twenty years as a professional farrier, Mr. La Pierre found himself questioning the boundaries of traditional horseshoes. Fueled by relentless curiosity, he dove into years of research and anatomical study. Along the way, he uncovered a remarkable truth: the equine foot is a marvel of intricate precision, a testament to intelligent design.
The Trinity Horseshoe exemplifies intelligent design by mirroring the horse’s hoof’s natural adaptability during movement. Research indicates that stability in the dorsal (front) hoof is essential for optimal performance. The primary innovation of this horseshoe is its ability to provide necessary stability to the toe while allowing the rear portion of the hoof (heels) to move freely, thereby preserving its natural elasticity and enhancing its energy return. Achieving this balance is critical, as it has been shown to improve circulation, lymphatic flow, and the horse’s overall vitality.
